SwetsWise is a comprehensive portfolio of products and services designed to simplify the way to acquire, access, and manage the information subscriptions of an organization. It's Swets flagship tailor-made web application and a unique online platform for customers, procurement managers, publishers, and internal users.
Swets is continuously working on modernizing SwetsWise to keep up with competition and get the most out of the flagship application.
• Functional As example, recently the functionality to support acquisition and management of eBook content has been added.
• Integration in order to provide accurate online information to customers, the integration of the SwetsWise platform with other Swets back office systems was enhanced and extended via an enterprise service bus (ESB), using a service-oriented architecture (SOA) approach.
• Technical internal technical improvements are done continuously for SwetsWise to keep up with the latest technologies & trends in IT, reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and improve performance.
• Internal edition SwetsWise is made available for Swets own employees worldwide. It replaces old functionalities / screens from the COBOL legacy-system and adds new functionalities like: archiving, case registration, customer- and publisher-oriented reporting etc. Through SWIE reporting, (hi-level) management reports required to measure and provide the right level of service can be created.
The modernization will continue in the coming years so as to make it even easier for customers and publishers to acquire access and manage subscriptions.
